Default Why cockroaches?

Is it a fetish with insects? Because if it is, I completely understand. The thought of ants running over my body gives me the "hoo-deh-hoos."

But seriously, why cockroaches?

Simply because roaches are part of us in a way that no other creature but perhaps the flea. Here is a creature who has (until recently) thrived off of man's squalor. Here is a creature who is a marvel of Darwinian adaptation. A survivor. A throwback. An evolutionary masterpiece. If they were pretty, they'd take over the world (hmm, now there's an idea for the sequel, roaches in the form of something cute and cuddly, kittens? Bunnies?)...and they are universal, we all have had some degree of experience with roaches. Mankind can relate through the cockroach and I hope, through them, achieve world peace.

Vin's right on it. Almost everyone has a cockroach story. I remember working on the Japanese version of this game with our Japanese partner.

One of his guys said this game is not a good idea for Japan. Apparently all the women over there have aversions to roaches. Even in Japan, roaches stir up feelings.
