To tell you the truth, I have no idea. I think it might be Icelandic, considering who told me this one (her sister spent some month in Iceland, and speaks the language too, apparently). It's supposed to mean "Mückensee" ("Lake of Midges"). I just looked it up, it's Icelandic. And the correct spelling is Mývatn. As I said, I was told that word when I was about 10 years old (that's 9 years ago), and I was never told how it is supposed to be spelt. "Müvatten" is how basically a direct german transcription of the pronounciation "Mývatn". - ![]()

Yeah, I live an hours drive from Mývatn. It's a really beautiful place, featuring bath caves, fly fishing, and our lesser known other blue lagoon.
And LenaJ almost got Þungur Hnífur right ![]() ^ Ate a bathtub full of chips.

There´s this tiny little chance that Christer´s company will get a contract on Iceland. (He´s working with tele communications building and istalling the radio and antenna equipment for our cellphones to work.) If it works out you´ll have to advice us all the things to see and do on Iceland.
