It's a disturbing game, without a doubt, but it does seem to be trying to make a point on how we're repulsed by graphic violence but consume it eagerly anyway.

Of course, it's very clumsy in making this point, so it falls apart a bit. It also loses some relevance now that reality TV isn't nearly as huge as it used to be a few years ago.

I've actually finished Manhunt and stated numerous times that I liked the game. It is rather sick, there's no need to debate over that, but not much more than the vast number of FPSs and action games in general. Remember Doom, Quarantine, Carmaggedon, Postal... They're all violent games. And many of you have played them.

Manhunts a great game, hope you enjoy it. The stealth play isn't for everyone, but if you have the patience you will enjoy the VERY hard levels later on.

Thanks, Nemesis. I've been schooled in Thief, Splinter Cell, Deus Ex, and Hitman 2, so I definitely have the patience to play it and enjoy it.

I would argue about DOOM because you are actually killing demons. But Postal and Carmaggedon were definitely sick yet fun

But I dunno, somehow I didn't find them as serious as Manhunt was. They didn't try to take themselves seriously. I dunno, maybe I am being a hypocrite, but that's just the vibe I got personally from it. I wouldn't want to ban it or anything, but it's a big turn off.
