Default A Memorable Main Protagonist Article

Wasn't quite sure where to put this but I guess this section of the forum is most fitting.

I've written an article on the importance of a memorable main protagonist in adventure games for HardyDev.com

It can be found here, feedback is welcome.

Thanks.

Interesting read.
I pretty much agree with everything you say.

I will say that it's interesting that most of the memorable protagonists you mention (and exist) are male.
It's not that female characters are worse (they're not), it's that the more generic games tend to have a female protagonist.

Not at all worse, I mean look at Vicky from Still Life, very memorable, but yes like you say, the more generic and forgettable games tend to have female protagonists.
