Default The aperitif/champagne thread

My uncle is a big fan of champagne. He has no kids, and therefore can spend all his money on himself. Thus he has developed rather expensive tastes... Every time we visit him, he asks if we'd like to open a bottle of champagne. Then we do.

So this thread is my present to LauraMac, sort of. I hope someone who actually knows something about aperitifs/champagne will take over, because I'm feeling rather silly here.

Champagne <3

I love it, there's no better way to celebrate or just have a good time with your friends. Too bad I can't afford the Veuves or the Mumms very often myself, but luckily I have some friends who can.

I can't stand champagne, or wine of any sort. Except when cooking. Then it's good. (Wine, at least... I've never cooked with champage)

You can also cook with beer, btw. (If you can stand that.)

LOL!!! You too, eh, tabsie? I mistakenly deleted a post by Jackal a while back for the same reason: the edit button was dangerously close to the reply button. And whose design decision was that?

guilty culprit
