The setting was cool, it used music from the game and the SFX looked amazing and the story was pretty much ok.

I don't know if you played the game(s), but the atmosphere was just right. The siren wailing, the crackling sounds of the radio, the first encounter with Pyramid Head, the janitor! It all worked!
So it's only cool if you played the games. but isn't the point of a good movie that you can enjoy it without having played the games

The SH movie was good regardless if you played the game or not. One of my top 10s so far. Can't wait for the DVD.

Best game soundtrack ever. I still regularly listen to some of the tracks.

Even though the gameplay itself wasn't extraordinary (but far from bad or shallow either), the art design more than compensated for it and ranks it quite high on my list of best games ever. Nobody has made such an fantastically looking game since.

Just read an interview with McGee. According to him, if the Alice movie is a success, he will begin to work on Alice 2, the game. He also mentioned his new project "Grim", where you are a forgotten fairy tale character, searching for his own story in a dark fairy tale world.

He was working on it and the game was in advanced stages of development already when Infogrames realized they had difficulties financing the project and everything but the Matrix games was put on hold. The script for the Oz movie is finished though, according to McGee.

Because of financial cuts they decided to make Oz into a movie instead of a game and as far as I know it's script is ready .You can read about it here http://www.americanmcgee.com/wordpress/?cat=5
There is also a mysterious project named Red. People guess that it's a twisted version of the Red Riding Hood . American Mcgee mentions Red briefly as a movie project at http://www.americanmcgee.com/wordpress/?p=128

And finally check this out

But I don't want no movies, I want games!

And what's happening with Bad Day L.A.? Can that guy finally finish one of his projects? Sheesh...

I know, but where's the knife? Is it a light sabre type of knife?

The only thing about the game that I disliked was there were signs of a quick release. Basically, when the game is sent out before it is 100%. Fortunately the only signs of this in Alice are story cuts, not bugs like you mostly see.
The most blatant sign of this is with humpty near the end. You see the model but there is no dialog or cut-scene. This means that there is content that never made it into the final game.

Yeah! That's what I thought! I always had the idea that there was something missing or that McGee omitted something. Too bad they had to cut stuff from the game. Loved it anyway...

I love the game, i played it thru 3 times. The third time i raced a girl who loved playing it too cause we'd both finished it twice previously but it'd been about 2 years since we'd played it. so we sat next to each other at a LAN cafe where it was installed and RACED. I won by about 8 minutes it was so close. we both had a couple of breaks during it so i cant remember how long it took but we started in the morning at about 9 and finished up around 8 at night. but we both got up for breaks at the same time, saving at exact same time etc so that we could have a proper race thru it.

i was supposed to later race some1 thru monkey island 1 but we had trouble getting it running properly so we didnt do it.. dam..

The book-/music-/gamestore in the center of Warsaw used to have one such Alice, too, and also a Cheshire Cat. I got so used to them over the years, that I'm actually not sure if they are still there.
