i remember the grahics processor i had, it played everygame. the S3Trio. this thing ran like a pro

Is there a place where I can read about how different the graphics modes are? I can't tell what are the differences between Super2xSai, hq2x, hq3x, and so on (I don't mean visually, I mean what exactly they do to the graphics).

I prefer the individual pixels over the Anti Aliased (smoothed) version.
But that's just me. I like to make pixel art for games and other various projects. It just seems more complete that way. *shrug*
