Thanks mag for sharing the file.
It was a very interesting speech and I, like others have mentioned before me, did agree with him on many levels and I think that the gaming industry is in need of a serious change towards a more developer centered system. I've had the exact same thoughts as Jason seems to have had about making some high person in every developer company a public figure who would be well known. One problem is of course that many people that work for game developers are more or less geeks and maybe therefore aren't good at talking in front of cameras and stuff. And there are probably also many who don't won't to be famous at all, because fame has it's downsides you know. But it's good that Jason Rubin took up these matters to debate, because a debate is needed, that's for sure. |
